Stop Trafficking
Life Out of Bondage
How would it be to be to live a life controlled by others and have no hope of escaping? Really ask yourself this question and ponder how you would feel if you had to do something so terrible day after day after day. This is a reality for many women and children across the world. There are more than 4000 of these women and children that “work” the streets of Bankok every night. Who are they waiting for?
The answer to this question is quite simple. They are waiting for the people that drive the industry, the people who support slavery, the people who have no respect for women and human rights. It is terrible that these type of people are allowed to be free and travel in this world. Many of the people who are purchasing these women are tourists looking for a good time. Their “good time” comes in the form of pain and suffering from another person.
If they could only have feelings enough to see life from these girls eyes and see the pain that they have to go through. This workers do not have the luxury of traveling for fun. They are forced to travel away from their families, never to return to a normal life.
TOURISM
As a tourist I love to travel to experience new cultures and perspectives. Traveling the world is an amazing opportunity that many are able to take advantage of. One of the downfalls of tourism is that it helps drive human trafficking and prostitution. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE! We need more people to take a stand against human traffickers and against those people who take advantage of women and children. The only way this will stop is by mass support! Governments need to know that you care and will not allow trafficking to continue. You have a voice and you can use it.
If you were able to help one girl from being trafficked would you speak?
This is a question I asked myself. My answer to myself was:
"I don’t know if I can help, but I sure can TRY!!!!"
Please share and please help stop this injustice. You never know if you can be the one to make a difference.
